Hello Spiceheads, We have a very idiotic problem with microsoft office for mac 2011 and hoping there is an easy fix. We finally started to support mac and we currently only have about 5 mac users. Well one user is starting to complain that he can not properly create hyperlinks in outlook because there is no finder search capability for the hyperlink.

The only option you have is to physically type in the URL or to copy and paste it from a finder (which we have yet to be able to figure out how to do). So is there some add-on or patch out there that adds a finder search capability when adding a hyperlink in Outlook for mac 2011? My apologies let me try to rephrase the question.
We are trying to send a hyperlink in an email that connects to our Share drive. I have not found a way to copy the file path from the finder to the Hyperlink window in Outlook for mac.
The current hyperlink option gives you Link: TexT: There is no finder feature where i can reach out to a network drive and link a file instead of attaching the file. In other words, is there an add-on for OFfice for mac that will enable the ability to browse your finder to create a link. Please see the attached pictures. I'm having the same issue AND, based on an earlier email, I think it's because Microsoft is now charging for an upgrade to MS Office 2011 for the Mac to allow this capability.

If you create the image with the hyperlink in word, and try to copy and paste it, for some reason it does not work. However, if you just stick a letter or whatever, right before the image on the line, and select the WHOLE LINE to copy and paste, it works fine.
NO idea why this is. If that sounds complicated, then just format and create your entire signature in word, and select the entire thing and copy it over. The hyperlink will remain. This absolutely works for outlook mac 2011.
Outlook 2016 for Mac (aka Outlook for Mac for Office 365) has some changes compared to Outlook for Mac 2011 in regards to Junk Email Protection. This blog post will explain how Outlook 2016 for Mac handles Junk Email Protection. Please see the previous Blog post for more information on how Outlook for Mac 2011 handles Junk Email Protection. The first item to understand is that there are two types of junk email filtering: sever-side and client-side. Server-side junk filtering takes place on the mail server (such as Exchange) as soon as email arrives in the mailbox. Client-side junk filtering takes place on the client (such as Outlook & Outlook for Mac) when the email is downloaded from the server to the client.
Outlook 2016 for Mac does not provide any client-side junk mail protection for any type of account (Exchange, POP, or IMAP). Instead, it relies solely on the mail server to perform all junk email filtering. Emails are not scanned client-side by Outlook 2016 for Mac to determine if they are junk email. Exchange servers provide server-side junk mail filtering, and most popular email providers, such as Hotmail, Outlook.com, Gmail, and Yahoo, provide server-side junk mail filtering, making client-side Outlook junk filtering redundant.
